- Hook it in. Slide the steel catch into the strike plate, the slot in the frame where the latch goes.
- Close the door. Shut it over the catch. The thin plate sits in the gap between door and frame.
- Add the stopper. Drop the stopper onto the post. Now the door can't open inward, even when it's unlocked.

Will it work on my hotel door?
Most hotel room doors open inward with a single latch, which is what it's built for. Doors with several bolts from top to bottom, or doors that open out to the hallway, won't work. Use the fit check above.
Can I take it through airport security?
Yes, it's allowed in carry-on and checked bags. Some screeners pull it aside to look at it, so packing it in the pouch on top helps.
Will it scratch the door frame?
The stopper has a silicone pad where it touches the frame. The steel plate sits in the latch gap, where the door already rubs.
